Founded in 2007, Second Layer Consulting is a national diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging consulting organization that specializes in providing strengths based, experiential, and developmentally prescriptive experiences. Our training is intercultural competence based and covers most diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and belonging topics. Our organization focuses on collaborating together to identify an organization’s DEI educational needs, then designing effective and practical solutions to create sustainable change.

The majority of my professional work experience has been committed to developing organizational equity. My life has been dedicated to building positive relationships between people and helping create a sense of belonging and inclusion for people who often go unheard as they experience different types of exclusion as they persist to thrive and demonstrate excellence. My research area has focused on using intercultural assessment to develop and practice culturally and racially relevant services to diverse student populations in educational settings. I've worked with multiple educational, corporate, and nonprofit organizations as an innovator, bridge builder, voice, and practitioner.
